NSI recently held its very first carbon accounting course during July, attracting participants from a range of organisations including Taronga Zoo, Hewlett Packard, University of NSW and Veolia.
The new two day intensive program provides the skills required to help organisations identify and quantify their greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.
Hailed a success by participants, organisations such as Taronga Zoo have begun building an inventory for their business, finding ways to reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions.
Throughout the course participants gained advice on how carbon emissions may be reduced for financial and environmental benefits.
