On the 27th October, Northern Sydney Institute’s Associate Director, Brenda Cleaver, welcomed President Kim Young Sik from Baekseok Culture University (BCU), South Korea to formalise the partnership between the two organisations by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).

The agreement aims to initiate the development of educational programs between the Northern Sydney Institute and Baekseok Culture University, such as the School of Global Internships, program which provides internship and joint program opportunities for Korean students in areas of hospitality, tourism and marketing.

“One of the principles of our Institute is to build successful partnerships with international educational providers, offering opportunities for overseas students. We do this by furthering their education in our training programs, in addition to offering them the opportunity to learn English” said Ms Cleaver.

President Kim expressed his gratitude to the Northern Sydney Institute for the warm welcome.

“Our students are looking forward to the practical work experience and to also develop their professional skills while learning English” said President Kim.

The chance to develop exchange programs with Korean students promises positive results in areas like hospitality and business training programs. For the Northern Sydney Institute, this will only strengthen its position as a leading vocational educational provider with multiple international partnerships.
