Eleven talented NSI students have received a TAFE NSW – State Medal for their outstanding academic achievement.
The TAFE NSW – State Medal is awarded to students who have achieved the highest marks in NSW for his chosen course, based on 2011 results.
Course areas which the students studied include Accounting, Community Services Work, Youth Work, Information Technology, Nursing, Horticulture and Tourism.
The medal recipients will be presented with their TAFE NSW State Medals at the Institute’s ‘Excellence Awards’ evening on 7 June, 2012 at NSI’s Ryde College.
Samantha McCully, who received the TAFE NSW – State Medal for achieving top marks for the Certificate III Horticulture; Wholesale Nursery said she was excited to receive the accolade.
“I was ecstatic, overwhelmed with happiness to hear I had received the award,” said Samantha.
“It’s gratifying to know hard work and dedication had achieved such a great result.”
TAFE NSW – Northern Sydney Institute Director Kevin Harris congratulated the students on their excellent achievement.
“It’s wonderful to see our students excelling in their chosen field,” he said.
“The TAFE NSW – State Medal is awarded to only the most outstanding students.
“Each of the students should be very proud that they are amongst the very best academic achievers in NSW.”
