The Sydney Wine Academy will now launch two offerings of the WSET Award Level 2 in Wines and Spirits course in Chinese.
This ground-breaking delivery was so successful in 2014 that the Academy has had to add an intensive three-day course to its 2015 program.
The courses will again be taught by the experienced Andy Chen, a WSET accredited wine educator and graduate of the Academy.
Clive Hartley, Course Director of Sydney Wine Academy said that the Academy is the only provider in NSW to offer both the course and the exam with a WSET approved Chinese lecturer.
“The success of the launch last year has meant that Andy will now run one course on Wednesday nights and another three-day condensed course in June, ideal for people from interstate or for others who like to fast-track their learning,” said Clive.
“Both courses are for those of Chinese heritage seeking a good level of product knowledge, job skills and competencies in handling international wines and spirits.”
Rita Yuli LI, a 2014 WSET Level 2 graduate, said that the course being delivered in her native Mandarin language was a major attraction.

The WSET Level 2 course will run on Wednesday evenings for nine weeks, starting 22 April at the Northern Sydney Institute’s Ryde Campus. The three day intensive course will run from the 15 – 17 June.
